Since migrating to Australia in 2006, Nasir has devoted himself to building bridges between Muslims and the wider Australian society.
Chris began his political career in 1969. In 1987 he entered Federal Parliament as a Senator for South Australia. During his career he held several portfolios including Science, Small Business and Customs. He left parliament in June 2002 after 15 years as a Senator and 33 years in Australian politics.
Chris is a former President of the Australian Volleyball Federation and an elected representative to the Legal Commission of the “Federation Internationale de Volleyball”. He is also a board member of numerous worthwhile organisations.
Chris has the ability to master any public appearance and to engage his audience on many levels. His political wit and general background greatly enhance his capabilities.
