Inspiring South Australians Recognised for their selfless contributions to our community
Each year, South Australia proudly celebrates the achievements and contributions of outstanding community members through the Citizen of the Year Awards Program. The Awards are proudly conducted by the Australia Day Council of South Australia in partnership with 68 Councils across our state. The Citizen of the Year Awards are presented annually for the Citizen of the Year, Young Citizen of the Year, Community Event of the Year and the Award for Active Citizenship.
These community members demonstrate extraordinary service every day within our communities so often invisible to most of us. This contribution builds the social and cultural fabric of our society, making a significant difference to the people of our state. The Citizen of the Year Awards provide everyone with the opportunity to recognise any community members who makes them proud.
This year’s Award Recipients are:
- Citizen of the Year: Gill Golding of the City of Onkaparinga
