Veena Madan

President of Indian Australian Association of South Australia (IAASA)

Veena Madan migrated to Adelaide SA from India in the year 1992. She is a dedicated and accomplished educator for last 25 years in secondary Schools in South Australia and has been involved in community engagement and leadership.

Currently as the President of Indian Australian Association of South Australia (IAASA), Veena has successfully organised and led numerous cultural events, fostering community spirit and cultural understanding. For enhancing social cohesion and support Veena has a strong track record of organising community programmes including Seniors programmes for Indian community. Her strong communication skills, deep understanding of multicultural dynamics and commitment to inclusivity have made her a respected leader in the community.

Veena is a member Women’s Committee in the Multicultural Communities Council of South Australia (MCCSA), advocating and supporting women’s right and empowerment and cultural diversity.

In addition to this Veena is a member of Governing Council at Roma Mitchell Secondary college. She actively contributes to the strategic planning and decision-making processes, collaborates with other council members and school community. In the past she has been on the Foundation Board of St. Andrews primary school and was involved in fundraising activities and organising fundraising functions.
