Australia’s most influential Educators List 2024 and 2025 and Director SA Intercultural Peace Forum

Noel Mifsud was named as one of Australia’s Most Influential Educational Leaders by The Educator in 2024 and 2025. He has served as Principal of three schools in SA and remote Aboriginal communities in the NT. His career includes wintering station leader in Casey Station, Antarctica and Captain in the Australian Army Education Corps. He is Chair of the SA Multicultural Education and Languages Committee and member of the Education Standards Board of SA.

Noel has engaged in education, public speaking and humanitarian service on every continent. He is a founding member of the SA Intercultural Peace Forum and CEO of Malteser International Asia Pacific which provides medical care to 1,000 patients a month in Timor Leste. In 2024 he was recognised for outstanding service to the SA community and advancement of intercultural understanding and peace. In 2025 was invited as a panellist at the UN Sustainable Development Goals Conference in New York.

Just before Kylan Beech’s 14th birthday, he lost his mother, Tammy, to cancer. Rather than focusing on his grief, Kylan became determined to help ensure others would not have to experience the same tragedy.
