Nicki Brunton

Youth Advocate and founder of The Patchwork Parent

Nicole is a passionate advocate for families and teens, using her lived experience of childhood trauma and parenting challenges to support others. With a Diploma of Child Youth and Family Intervention, a Bachelor in Human Services (Child and Family Practice), Nicki combines professional expertise with personal insight to empower families.

As the founder of The Patchwork Parent, she provides trauma-informed coaching, helping parents reconnect with their teens through emotional regulation, resilience-building, and practical support. Her 10-week PATCHWORK Parent Program has transformed countless families, offering compassionate solutions to the challenges of parenting teens.

Since her teenage years, Nicki has advocated for youth, including helping to establish the first regional youth council in South Australia in 1997. She has volunteered with organisations like the Make-A-Wish Foundation and the Raise Foundation, demonstrating her long-standing commitment to supporting young people and their families.

Nicki’s work on child protection and family services boards has had a lasting impact, and her dedication continues to inspire and transform lives across Australia.
