Peter Goers OAM is a reformed social irritant. He is a long serving and proud Ambassador. Since 2003 he has hosted his multi award winning Evening show on ABC Radio Adelaide, across SA and into the Silver City of Broken Hill. 

He has worked in the theatre for nearly 50 years, despite being only 48 years old; as actor, director, designer, playwright. He began writing for the Advertiser in 1985 and his Sunday Mail column began in 1991. Goers lived for three years in Istanbul, Turkey where he was known as ‘Australian Delight’, and taught drama at a university. 

He is a former South Australian Local Hero in the South Australian of the Year Awards, a Distinguished Alumni of Flinders University, and a much less distinguished but very proud alumni of Woodville Primary and Findon High Schools. He is the author/illustrator of a book ‘Send in the Clouds’ and in 2013 was honoured with the Medal of the Order of Australia for his services to community and the arts. He performs an annual Fringe show and is a Fringe Award winner. In the last 15 years he has performed/spoken more than 1000 times throughout SA for good causes.
