The Australia Day Council of South Australia was proud to partner with The Office for Women to produce the inaugural Inspiring South Australian Women Impacting the World in August 2018. 

Superstar maths teacher Eddie Woo, whose online lessons have generated almost 17 million YouTube views worldwide, came to Adelaide to fire up South Australian students to study mathematics. .

In Conversation with Change Makers Australia a Country of Opportunity

Despite the huge impact on families and our community, domestic violence and homelessness can seem invisible. Hundreds came together for breakfast and for inspiration from leaders with lived experience. 

Australia a County of Opportunity – an interactive forum that focused on our sense of national identity and how we give expression to our sense of belonging.

 Australia a Country of Belonging

Kumangka,  Mukapainga,  Tampinga, is our way of acknowledging, remembering and recognising,  further thanking Aboriginal people who have contributed to our community , and those of which who are leading the way for our younger generations to follow.


This event offered an opportunity to discover new connections that could enhance a sense of belonging with your local area. Events have been held in The Rural City of Murray Bridge, The City of Salisbury and The City of Playford.

The was an exclusive opportunity to hear Dr Richard 'Harry' Harris speak about his experiences and what he hopes to achieve in the future.

This forum held in August 2019, showcased Inspiring Aboriginal Women who are committed to making a difference in the world through their service and work in the community.
