Legh Davis: Investment adviser, former Parliamentarian and Fundraiser
Legh graduated with degrees in Economics and Law and is a Fellow of CPA Australia. After lecturing in Commercial Law at the SA Institute of Technology (now University of South Australia) Legh joined national sharebroker A C Goode & Co and was later appointed State Manager.
In 1979 he was elected to the Legislative Council. During his time in Parliament Legh was Deputy Leader of the Liberal Party in the Legislative Council and had a number of portfolio responsibilities including Finance, Housing, Small Business, Arts and Corporate Affairs. Following his retirement from Parliament in 2002 Legh became State Chairman of sharebroker ABN AMRO Morgans until 2010 and is now a senior consultant with Morgans (renamed).
He has a particular interest in investing for and in retirement and managing portfolios of charitable and community organisations.
He is currently Chairman of the Adelaide Festival Centre Foundation.
Legh was a State and Federal Chairman of Young Liberals and has been a board member of Artbank and a Council member of Flinders University of South Australia.
He was President of the World Bow Tie Club which raised over $300,000 for children's charities and he initiated the Adelaide International Rose Garden.
