Daniel Kirk: Para Athlete & Sports Scientist
Daniel grew up in Hobart and relocated to Adelaide in 2005 to study Human Movement & Health Studies, together with pursuing a football career in the SANFL. Following his graduation, he set up his own coaching business working with elite athletes.
In 2012, Daniel suffered a life changing injury that ended his football career and threatened his quality of life. After readjusting to his impairment, he has since found a new sporting passion as a para-athlete competing for Australia. Throughout this experience he has lived and championed the benefits of perseverance, acceptance, gratitude and living our passion.
Daniel is passionate about human empowerment through social inclusion, equality, environmental sustainability and health & wellness. These are causes he is now supporting and fostering within the community as a Director and Spokesperson for the online platform Onyourblock, “the place for people with purpose”.
